Launch of works to extend and modernize passenger car parks and rental cars

The Mixed Syndicate, owner and manager of Béziers Cap d'Agde Airport, will undertake a major project to modernize and extend passenger car parks and rental cars, following the increase in passenger traffic.

The work program involves increasing the number of spaces in these car parks (200 additional spaces) and the creation of a new technical area for the delivery and preparation of rental vehicles.

The project also provides for the installation of a 7000 m² photovoltaic shade park, the electricity production of which is estimated at 1560 MWH per year, which is again the equivalent of 517 tonnes of CO2 savings (installed capacity 1.15 MWC ).

The financial envelope devoted to the operation is € 950 and will be carried by the Mixed Syndicate, the vehicle rental companies and the company Total Quadran, in partnership with the semi-public company Semper, in charge of the implantation of shade houses.

The work will begin next November and end in mid-March 2020. Throughout the duration of the work, the P2 passenger car parks and rental cars will be moved. A temporary car park, accommodating passengers and rental cars, will be open from October 14 (road and pedestrian signs in place on the airport site).

Béziers Cap d'Agde airport offers 9 destinations in Europe: London Luton, London Stansted, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Düsseldorf Weeze, Paris Beauvais and Brussels Charleroi. www.beziers.aeroport.fr.
